Exercise Tiger remembered

On 18th October Charity Trustees Steve Lawrance and Malcolm Crow were delighted to attend a special service of remembrance on board the Greenway Ferry’s Fairmile launch.

The boat headed out of Dartmouth harbour shortly after lunch, along the coast to Slapton Sands where a memorial service was held in honour of the men who lost their lives during Exercise Tiger. The day’s events were filmed by Paul Potgieter of Heritage Media TV and he has kindly allowed us to make this film available via our website, using the link below.

With specially commissioned music, it is a very fitting reminder of those who gave their lives on the night of 28th April, 1944.
