Exercise Tiger remembered
On 18th October Charity Trustees Steve Lawrance and Malcolm Crow were delighted to attend a special service of remembrance on board the Greenway Ferry’s Fairmile launch.
The boat headed out of Dartmouth harbour shortly after lunch, along the coast to Slapton Sands where a memorial service was held in honour of the men who lost their lives during Exercise Tiger. With specially commissioned music, it is a very fitting reminder of those who gave their lives on the night of 28th April, 1944.
