Lieutenant JG Hill, serving on board LST531, was killed in action on the 28th April, 1944 during the action with the e-Boats.

Lieutenant JG Hill left a wife, Mrs. Florence Marie Hill, in Arlington, Boston, Massachusetts, and is officially recorded as having no known grave.

The collection has been very kindly donated by his niece Beverly Hughes.
