The Exercise Tiger Trust is a UK registered charity which was founded in 2004 to commemorate the American servicemen who died during Exercise Tiger on 28th April 1944. The original founder of the charity has been forced to retire due to ill health and the new Trustees have taken the decision to move the trust firmly into the 21st century.
About the Charity, Trustees and Patrons As a UK registered charity, Exercise Tiger Trust exists to create a better society through its work and in common with all other charities, it is dependent upon its trustees and patrons. In the UK, charity trustees are the people who form the governing body or ‘board’ of a charity. They may be called trustees, directors, board members, governors or committee members, but they are the people with ultimate responsibility for directing the business of the charity. All the trustees of Exercise Tiger Trust are volunteers, and receive no payment (except out-of-pocket expenses). Any amendments to this status would have to be authorised by the Charity Commission - the governing body of all UK-based charities - and Exercise Tiger Trust would be bound by their decision. Patrons are supporters of the charity who give freely of their time and aid in the raising of funds and awareness. Patrons: Essel Design LLP Trustees: Mr Malcolm Crow (Chairman) |
